Vertigo Games and Little Chicken Game Company have released a developer video for the ironic "Traffic Jams". The video presents new details about the VR mechanics and shows the chaotic gameplay of the title.
"Traffic Jams" will be released in the first quarter of 2021 for Oculus Quest, PlayStation VR and leading PC VR headsets. "Traffic Jams" has been specially developed for VR and aims to impress with intuitive gesture controls that allow you to control traffic at will. You are distracted by all kinds of crazy events, from monsters to (un)natural disasters. There is also a party mode for up to four players.
"The first feature we added was an angry wasp," says Yannis Bolman, CEO of Little Chicken Game Company. "The mechanics were understandable and highly recognisable. Waving your arms wildly at a busy junction seemed like a fun way to unsettle drivers waiting for the player's signal. From there, we added more and more funny and absurd ideas."
"There are five different areas in the final game, each with unique challenges," Yannis Bolman continues. "We're taking you to our home city, Amsterdam, where we're introducing a completely new challenge. A tram that stops at nothing."
