Winking Entertainment and Geronmio Interactive are currently busy with the action game "Reborn: A Samurai Awakens", which will be released for PlayStation VR at the end of 2017. In the title, you compete against aliens with laser katanas and guns. The gameplay trailer shows first impressions.
The story is a bit far-fetched, but no matter. In "Reborn: A Samurai Awakens" you slip into the role of Sanada Yukimura, a famous samurai warrior of feudal Japan. He returns from the dead to fight the alien invaders on Earth. The protagonist is equipped with two laser katanas, pistols and supernatural powers. He can also fight with a different weapon in each hand, so you can choose between a sword and gun combo or a combination of sword and supernatural powers.
"In each stage, there will be a variety of enemies that will stand in the way of the player. You will often have to deflect laser shots while countering enemies' sword slashes from all directions," said Eric Tsai, brand manager at Winking Entertainment. When it comes to controls, two PlayStation Move controllers are used. With these, you can cut the futuristic machines into small pieces.
