Die Oculus Studios und Ready At Dawn („The Order: 1886“, „De-Formers“) werden schon am 20. Juli 2017 das vielversprechende VR-Abenteuer „Lone Echo“ für Oculus Rift und Touch auf den Markt bringen.
In the story-based single-player experience „Lone Echo“ you take on the role of the android Jack, who, after a spatial anomaly in a mining station in space, must navigate through weightlessness to get to the bottom of the threat and bring Captain Rhodes to safety.
Die Hintergrundgeschichte des Spiels wird in einem zweiminütigen Launch-Trailer etwas genauer beleuchtet. Darin erfährt man von der Mission der Echo-One-Einheit und bekommt interessante Eindrücke vom Spielgeschehen und der Anomalie geboten, die die Abbaustation Kronos II bedroht. Technisch macht „Lone Echo“ jedenfalls einen extrem guten Eindruck.
Zeitgleich wird übrigens das dazugehörige „Echo Arena“ veröffentlicht. The title is aimed at e-sports fans. In the multiplayer game, two teams of two players face each other and have to try to get the game disc past their opponents in zero gravity.
