Kite flying at the UPC Pop-Up Store in Zurich

From 5 January 2017 until 25 February 2017, you can experience virtual reality at Europa Allee 11 in Zurich. With the VR chair from Samsung, interested parties can UPC and Samsung pop-up store some adventures. Anyone who has always wanted to fly a dragon à la Game of Thrones or Harry Potter can seize the opportunity there. Thanks to the combination of VR goggles and the motion simulations of the VR chair, visitors are in for an exhilarating journey of discovery at lofty heights.

Operating times of the virtual reality chair:

Monday to Friday: 16.00 - 20.00 hrs
Saturday: 09.00 - 17.00 hrs

Experience VR and hunt for bargains

Of course, the offer is not only intended to provide entertainment, but also to boost sales. A special mobile offer awaits customers, with which they can purchase a Samsung Gear VR received as a gift. And also the 360° Samsung camera is available for a special price.

Thoughts on the advertising poster

A huge poster (see cover picture) at the main station exit near Europa Allee draws attention to the VR chair. For me, the question is whether potential customers understand what it's all about. VR is not yet an everyday topic for the general public, where everyone knows what to expect. VR is also not just VR. For some, it starts with 360° images, for others it only begins with 3-modelled high-end solutions. I think VR still needs a lot of explanation at the moment. And it will also be exciting in the future to see how VR is most effectively depicted or presented on other media.
