T-Rex as a VR experience

From 11 March 2019 to 9 August 2020, the American Museum of Natural History in New York will be holding the exhibition "T. rex: The Ultimate Predator" from. Visitors will also be able to enjoy a VR experience.

"T. rex: The Ultimate Predator" is the first major exhibition of the American Museum of Natural History's 150th anniversary celebrations. The first skeleton of the T-rex was discovered in 1902 by the museum's legendary fossil hunter, Barnum Brownand the museum has one of the few original specimens of the dinosaur on public display.

In collaboration with HTC Vive, the corresponding VR experience "T.rex: Skeleton Crew", in which visitors (three at a time) are transported to the virtual version of the dinosaur hall to assemble the skeleton of the T-Rex together. Once this is done, the museum hall is transformed into a prehistoric landscape and the dinosaur comes to life. The VR experience will also be available in summer 2019 at Viveport be available.
