Exoskin: Haptic VR jacket in the works

Exoskin is a new haptic VR jacket designed to make virtual reality even more immersive. It allows you to directly feel body hits and other touches, for example. However, this is not the first product of its kind (see Hardlight VR or Teslasuit). So you will be spoilt for choice.

You can feel the virtual reality in your own body, but the manufacturers are unfortunately still keeping quiet about technical details. Dean Takahashi from the page VentureBeat has already been able to try out Exoskin and, according to him, you can look forward to real-time and precise perceptions. That sounds very promising.

Dean Takahashi visited a virtual nightclub during the demonstration of the Exoskin jacket and felt the virtual dance partners in this way. High Fidelity and NeoSensory want to release Exoskin as early as July 2018, but only as a beta version for now. The Pre-order is already possible. The price is 399 US dollars.
