New VR Center in Basel and Oftringen

The VR Center in Dietlikon is on course for expansion: the first franchise partner opened a second exciting centre in Basel in October and another has already followed in Oftringen.

Now the people of Basel can also look forward to a new VR Center can look forward to. The successful first VR centre in Switzerland, trueVRsystems, is expanding. The operators in Dietlikon are very happy with their first franchise partner: "It's going to be a mega cool centre with all the trimmings! In addition to the unique multiplayer full-body system similar to the one in Zurich, other offers are also planned," says Fabian Freund in a brief interview before the opening.

And Basel also sounds highly motivated: "After the intensive preparation phase for the new Virtual Reality and Game Centre Basel, we were able to open successfully," says Jörg. "There was a lot to do. After the rental property in Basel-Stadt near the St. Jakobhalle was rented, we had to take care of ordering the VR equipment. Now it's all about publicising the centre and establishing communication," says the second business partner Pascal.

The offer

The Virtual Reality and Game Centre Basel offers:

• Virtual reality full-body tracked adventure games and shooters of the highest quality Multiplayer, player vs. player and single player
• Virtual reality games on over 700 square metres, such as football, car racing, flight simulators, etc.

The offer is aimed at young and old, groups, individuals, companies and clubs. The operating team has big plans. They will also be organising events for gamers, LANs and e-sports at the border triangle for Switzerland, Germany and France, and other activities are also being planned.

Also in Oftringen one has slammed

It seems to be going quickly. No sooner had the deal in Basel been secured than the confirmation came for the other franchise partner in Oftringen, Aargau. "150 square metres are planned for the start and possibly even more later," says Fabian. The centre is located in the Youcinema complex.

The centre is open from Friday to Sunday and, in addition to a reservation option, also offers the chance to drop by spontaneously. Packages are available for groups outside opening hours.

Reinforcement wanted

The expansion phase of trueVRsystems is therefore continuing apace. The team is therefore also looking for further support for the international rollout in a flexible workload of 20-100%. Specifically, we are looking for a C# - System Developer & Game Developer.

Also present at trade fairs

The two founders really have a lot going on. In addition to building up franchise partners and developing more games, they were at the Suisse Toy in Bern and from 20 to 22 October they were guests at the Zurich Game Show at Messe Zürich, the place to be for all game and, more recently, VR fans. At the trade fairs, you could experience a preshow of the shooter including the Striker VR and the new feedback waistcoat. And who's surprised? People were thrilled.
