Ridley Scott founds VR studio

Ridley Scott Associates (RSA for short) is the production company of the well-known director Ridley Scott ("Alien", "Blade Runner", "Gladiator" and many more). The company has now announced that it has founded its own VR division. This is RSA VR, which in future will take care of the production of high-quality experiences as well as films around virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality.

Jen Dennis, the new head of RSA VR, was already involved in the production of "The Martian VR Experience" for the movie "The Martian" with Matt Damon. However, the software did not come off particularly well, mainly because the price-performance ratio was unfortunately not good. RSA VR is currently working on a VR experience for the upcoming sci-fi horror film "Alien: Covenant". Details are not yet available, but one can hope that there will be an increase compared to "The Martian VR Experience". RSA VR is also busy with other VR projects. There's a lot coming up.
