Today there is a light breeze with sunshine in the VR

After hearing about the Feelreal mask and other "scenting machines" reports you can now feel the wind and heat in VR with a headset add-on called Ambiotherm.

Ambiotherm can be comfortably placed on the existing headset. It contains two rotating fans at the front and a temperature module at the back of the neck that either gets colder or warmer. Although only the head is affected, several testers have reported that the sensation is felt throughout the body over time. So the longer you are inside, the more the illusion works and as we already know: The more senses are addressed, the better the immersion in VR works as well.

At the moment, the developers have two test regions: Snowy mountains and a desert. Thanks to the team of the National University of Singapore led by Professor Nimesha Ranasinghe, we will soon be able to feel the beautiful sides of the weather. For once, we can do without freezing rain or similar.

Virtual reality application providers such as the Rigi Railways or also Hotel plan would soon have to consider integrating such additions into their VR projects.
