A few days ago we already talked about reportsthat Fox Innovation Lab, which was founded by 20th Century Fox, is creating a VR experience for the upcoming horror film "Alien: Covenant" will be released. Fortunately, Fox has more films up its sleeve, as July 2017 will see "Planet of the Apes: Survival (English: "War for the Planet of the Apes") will be released in cinemas, for which there will also be a matching VR experience. By the way, Fox Innovation Lab already has a VR product on "The Martian" brought out.
At CES 2017 in Las Vegas, Fox Innovation Lab gave a first glimpse of the project. However, the user was only confronted with a monkey. The demo ran on Oculus Rift, but other platforms will certainly be catered for as well. The responsible persons are still silent about the content. The VR experience will not be based directly on the story of the new film, but it is safe to assume that 20th Century Fox is aiming for a timely release.
