Bolleri VR Yullbe

Test Yullbe in Switzerland

In the former Bolleri supermarket on Mutschellen, which closed at the end of 2022, various events are taking place from now until 22 January. One highlight is a virtual reality (VR) experience that is not yet available in Switzerland.

The shelves are gone, the interior is mostly empty. The "Bolleri Supermarket" on Mutschellen has been history since the end of December. Soon the "Bolleri" will make way for a new building as planned. However, before the two tenants of the shop, Roger Meyer and Christian Füglistaller, hand over the premises at the end of this month, they are organising a few more events. Also on board are Bremgart restaurateur Juri Tirez ("Stiefelchnächt", "Gnusswerk") and Nino Ruef from the Zurich company 934 Experiences.

The latter is bringing the virtual reality experience "Yullbe" to Switzerland for the first time. Visitors can immerse themselves in eight different worlds of experience with VR glasses on an area of around 10 by 10 metres, which is bordered by a black curtain. Yullbe" was developed exclusively for Europa-Park in Rust.

Move freely in the room without wiring

"We were looking for a test location in Switzerland for Yullbe and here is ideal for it. A big advantage of this system is that you can move freely in the room with just the glasses on your head without any wiring," says Ruef.

A maximum of twelve people at a time can stay in the separated area with "Yullbe". However, each person moves in a separate game world. Each experience lasts about 10 minutes. There is a choice of different worlds for all target groups from young to old.

"Spectacular, for example, is a virtual opera visit to 'The Phantom of the Opera', 'Walking in Wonderland', 'Valerian' or 'Artiality', where you can become a part of famous works of art yourself," Ruef tells us.

A VR experience costs 15 francs per world. Yullbe" in the former "Bolleri" can still be visited on the weekends from 13 to 15 January and on 21 and 22 January from 10 am to 8 pm. On request, the VR world of experience can also be booked during the week for schools or companies.Further information is available on the website byebyebolleri.ch.
