Summer holidays for kids at Zurich Airport

During the summer holidays, Zurich Airport is offering a programme on spectator terrace B - including childcare. Until 16 August, guests can watch the airport activities there every day from 11:00 to 16:00. Children aged five to ten are looked after in the visitors' room and experience a different programme every day, including a virtual reality experience.

In this special year, Zurich Airport is offering holiday fun for children with supervision from 11:00 to 16:00 in the visitor area next to the B spectator terrace. Young guests can have their faces painted on Wednesdays, for example, or paint flower pots on Thursdays, while an airport gardener tells them interesting facts about flowers and herbs. There are also crafts, games and a small virtual reality simulator, or as the airport calls it, a 9D cinema, available for children every day.

A 9D Single Egg as an attraction

This is a VR experience from a 9D Single Egg. State-of-the-art VR technology packed into comfortable seating shells. Zurich Airport rents the 9D cinema from SwissVRexperienceabout which we have also already reported. The seat offers a variety of themed worlds that can be experienced interactively, e.g. rollercoasters or exciting underwater worlds.

During childcare, the children also learn about flying and can make their own paper aeroplanes. On Fridays, a special guest pays the children a visit - for example children's musician Andreas Blum or Globi, who reads something from his books.

The programme is aimed at children aged between five and ten and costs CHF 20 per day. Pre-booking is not necessary. Full programme: http://www.flughafen-zuerich.ch/sommerferien.
