Survival game The Forest gets VR update

The open-world survival horror game "The Forest" was in Steam Early Access for a long time and is now available as a regular release. Version 1.0 was released for the PC. At the same time, developer Endnight Games has announced that a free VR update will be released.

This free VR update for "The Forest" will be available to download from 22 May 2018, although it has not been revealed which VR headsets will be supported. However, the developers have previously mentioned Oculus Rift. In the VR version of "The Forest", the HUD will be moved to the smartwatch, while a 3D inventory and motion controls will be integrated.

"We think it's the most fun VR game we've ever played and we can't wait to share it with everyone," said the developers. In "The Forest" you are a survivor of an aeroplane crash. In a mysterious forest, you have to defend yourself against brutal and hungry mutants. The motto: "Build, explore and survive in this terrifying first-person survival horror simulator."
