Gloomy puzzle game FORM

The newly released VR puzzle game for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive called Form takes a familiar perspective, but creates its very own atmosphere in a dark and mysterious environment.

The game developed by the indie developers Charm Games game form differs from typical puzzle and riddle games  clearly. Most games in this genre are colourful and invite the player into a colourful comic world. In contrast, Form offers a surreal and dark world. The game revolves around the mystery behind an ancient artefact that pushes the player to the limits of human understanding.

Scientists with superhuman abilities

Players take on the role of Dr Devin Eli, a brilliant scientist who works for a global technology company in a remote laboratory in Alaska. He decodes a signal that emanates from a secret artefact - the obelisk. This would not normally be possible, but the talented scientist has superhuman abilities due to a childhood trauma: He is able to visualise geometric shapes. This ability helps him to investigate the mystery surrounding the obelisk, as it enables him to track the signal and decode the dream-like memories that arise in his own mind.

During the exploration, the limits of the human mind are revealed to him and unique sights and moments open up. FORM takes the player into a surreal and unique environment and gives them enough time to explore it. The game therefore focuses on maximum comfort and a pleasant immersive experience.

Extremely good reviews

Tens of players rave about the unique game: "Details to fall in love with" or "The intricate puzzle machines and elements are a graphical force to be reckoned with" or "The puzzle locations to which we are then transported also cause pure amazement time and again: huge, impressive and at the same time frightening scenery awakens complete awe in us. We have the feeling that we are on the verge of getting to know a mighty power that decides our weal and woe," rave test reports.

It's really fun to try it out.
