VR support for Nintendo Switch possible

The PlayStation 4 has PlayStation VR and the upcoming Xbox One successor, codenamed Project Scorpio, will also support virtual reality, but what about Nintendo and the Switch? Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima has confirmed that VR support for the Switch is being investigated. Before such a feature can be released, Nintendo first wants to ensure that VR titles can be played for several hours without any problems. By this, Tatsumi Kimishima means the nausea (Motion sickness) and the headaches that many users suffer in virtual reality.

It will probably be a while before Nintendo can offer something related to VR, if it comes to that at all. Too few hardware details about the Switch are still known, which is why it is unclear whether there is enough power available for impressive VR. In any case, Nintendo has already filed a VR patent for the Switch. The hybrid console, which can also be played on the go, will be launched worldwide on 3 March 2017. Games such as "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild", "1-2 Switch" and "Just Dance 2017" will be available at launch.
