Les \u00e9tudes de march\u00e9 pr\u00e9disent une grande carri\u00e8re \u00e0 cette technologie. \"Dans une dizaine d'ann\u00e9es, les lunettes de r\u00e9alit\u00e9 mixte remplaceront les smartphones disponibles dans le commerce\", explique \u00e9galement Marc Pollefeys, professeur \u00e0 l'ETH. Les early adopters seront d\u00e9j\u00e0 l\u00e0 dans quelques ann\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ng-scope\">Pollefeys dirige le Computer Vision and Geometry Lab de l'ETH Zurich ainsi que le Microsoft MR &amp; AI Lab qui ouvrira en 2019. Outre la r\u00e9daction de documents scientifiques, les chercheurs s'occupent \u00e9galement du d\u00e9veloppement de produits concrets.<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"ein-anker-aus-zuerich-fuer-die-gemischte-realitaet\" class=\"anchor_h4__6ed02e94-a167-1f6b-c510-a939c5c591a7 ng-scope\">Une ancre de Zurich pour la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 mixte<\/h4>\n<p class=\"ng-scope\">Microsoft hat im M\u00e4rz an der Hausmesse Ignite deutlich gemacht, dass man seine Zukunft in der gemischten Realit\u00e4t sieht. Der Konzern stellte seine Plattform \u00abMicrosoft Mesh&#8220; vor, auf der Nutzende in eine \u00abgemeinsame holografische Welt\u00bb eintreten k\u00f6nnen. Daf\u00fcr sind sogenannte r\u00e4umliche Anker notwendig, ohne die User ihre digitalen Inhalte nicht am selben physischen Ort sehen w\u00fcrden. Die gemeinsame gemischte Realit\u00e4t zerfiele in eine Vielzahl von individuellen Welten.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ng-scope\">Les chercheurs cr\u00e9ent \u00e0 cet effet des cartes compl\u00e8tes afin que les porteurs de casques MR ainsi que les informations puissent \u00e9galement \u00eatre localis\u00e9s correctement. C'est la condition pour que non seulement les porteurs d'Hololens ou les utilisateurs de smartphones en mode MR voient les m\u00eames objets num\u00e9riques au m\u00eame endroit, mais cela doit aussi permettre l'utilisation de robots. \"Nous avons r\u00e9alis\u00e9 un projet dans lequel les gens n'avaient qu'\u00e0 pointer certains endroits en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 mixte pour qu'un robot y fasse son travail\", explique Pollefeys non sans fiert\u00e9. Dans les usines, cela pourrait devenir un succ\u00e8s.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"postDetailElement ng-scope\">\n<p class=\"ng-scope\">Le directeur du laboratoire voit de toute fa\u00e7on de multiples possibilit\u00e9s d'utilisation pour les appareils RM : Outre les domaines de la maintenance et de la formation, o\u00f9 la technologie est d\u00e9j\u00e0 r\u00e9pandue, il existe toute une s\u00e9rie de cas d'utilisation dans le domaine m\u00e9dical. \"On peut utiliser la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 mixte partout o\u00f9 des personnes doivent effectuer des t\u00e2ches complexes, mais o\u00f9 les experts sont peu nombreux\", explique Pollefeys. Ainsi, les sp\u00e9cialistes n'ont pas besoin de venir sp\u00e9cialement en avion, mais peuvent assister \u00e0 distance et \u00eatre virtuellement sur place.<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"huerden-privacy-standards-und-hardware\" class=\"anchor_h4__72534701-8390-d709-8d69-f506dc29c494 ng-scope\">Les obstacles \u00e0 surmonter : Confidentialit\u00e9, normes et mat\u00e9riel<\/h4>\n<p class=\"ng-scope\">Pollefeys qualifie le smartphone, avec lequel on a toujours besoin des mains, de \"r\u00e9alit\u00e9 augment\u00e9e indirecte\". La technologie ne percera jamais sur ces appareils. Tous les avantages ne pourront \u00eatre exploit\u00e9s qu'avec la nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de mat\u00e9riel, les lunettes Mixed Reality. Mais justement : Il faudra encore attendre une dizaine d'ann\u00e9es avant que celles-ci ne s'imposent compl\u00e8tement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ng-scope\">Mais Pollefey voit les plus grands obstacles du c\u00f4t\u00e9 des logiciels : dans le domaine de la cartographie, par exemple, qui est la comp\u00e9tence principale du laboratoire zurichois, il reste encore beaucoup de travail \u00e0 faire. Dans ce domaine, les donn\u00e9es seront \u00e0 l'avenir aliment\u00e9es par une sorte de crowdsourcing. Celles-ci proviennent alors de personnes qui se d\u00e9placent dans le monde avec leurs lunettes et enregistrent ainsi l'environnement. C'est justement indispensable dans un environnement en forte mutation comme une ville.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ng-scope\">Si la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 mixte se r\u00e9pand dans le monde des affaires et conquiert la rue, la protection de la vie priv\u00e9e jouera un r\u00f4le : Les lunettes ne sont pas seulement \u00e9quip\u00e9es de cam\u00e9ras vers l'ext\u00e9rieur, mais enregistrent aussi en permanence les yeux de l'utilisateur. Le logiciel doit en effet savoir o\u00f9 l'utilisateur regarde.
