On your marks, get set, LEGO\u00ae<\/sup>! It's time for the wildest LEGO race of all time. Because LEGOLAND in G\u00fcnzburg, near Stuttgart, is offering a new rollercoaster with VR.<\/h3>\n

After the Europa-Park <\/a>now also receives the LEGOLAND <\/a>a VR rollercoaster. In the Project X ride in the LEGO themed area\u00ae<\/sup> X-TREME makes rollercoaster rides even more exciting.<\/p>\n

Visitors to LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort have been able to experience the new VR rollercoaster ride since 2017. At the start of the season on 24 March 2018, guests at LEGOLAND Deutschland in G\u00fcnzburg, Bavaria, will soon be able to enjoy this extraordinary rollercoaster experience. LEGOLAND Florida Resort is also establishing the VR ride in 2018.<\/p>\n

Virtual race against LEGO figures<\/h3>\n

Get into the racing car, put on your VR goggles and off you go on an exciting chase. In a 360-degree LEGO world, visitors race against LEGO figures such as the Pharaoh, Surfer Girl, the Wizard and the Pirate Captain.<\/p>\n

The adventure begins as soon as guests enter the brand new entrance portal and hear the roar of engines. The queuing area of the rollercoaster will be modelled on a preparation area for a race, where the pit crews of the LEGO racers prepare for the competition. There will also be interactive, hands-on elements to keep the waiting racers entertained.<\/div>\n

During the ride, the virtual images are synchronised with the twists, turns, descents and ascents using Bluetooth technology, creating a completely new experience. Thrills, adrenaline, surprises and fun are guaranteed - an experience that only LEGOLAND can create.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Inspiration from the nursery<\/h3>\n

\"The Great LEGO Race was inspired by the way children play with their LEGO bricks at home,\" explains Candy Holland, Senior Creative Director at Merlin Magic Making. \"It's a unique LEGO adventure that transports children and adults into an imaginary world created entirely out of LEGO bricks. There they will encounter a variety of themes and fun LEGO characters.\"<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Not only does it go through sharp bends, but also steeply uphill and downhill again at high speed. Who will win the race remains exciting. The minimum age for using the VR goggles is 6 years.<\/div>\n
