The fact that exciting virtual reality applications can be used to spice up otherwise rather dry trade fair concepts and offer much more content than usual has already been demonstrated by one or two\u00a0Example\u00a0<\/a>shown. VR is particularly popular with young people. The Swiss Construction School in Aarau has also embarked on an experiment with the agency interpoint<\/a>we already know about reports <\/a>have been involved. The concept included a 360\u00b0 video for each field of study, in which students from the construction school provided information on further training opportunities.<\/p>\n In keeping with the construction school's offering, the exhibition stand reflected a combination of construction site and classroom. To support the school feeling, the virtual reality glasses were placed on classic school desks. As soon as the VR glasses were put on, visitors to the trade fair were able to select one of the 5 study programmes from the menu (construction planning civil engineering, architecture or interior design as well as construction management structural\/civil engineering or timber construction). After choosing their degree programme, visitors were virtually transported into the school building. A student from the construction school stood in front of them and interacted with them. The prospective students were given lots of information about the content and the school's further education programme. They were then taken to the construction site. In each video, the students explained what new tasks they were able to take on thanks to their further training. With simple hand movements, they point out interesting details of the construction site. Thanks to the 360\u00b0 shots, it was easy for viewers to follow the instructions intuitively. It was possible to look around during the entire video: all recordings were made using 360\u00b0 technology.<\/p>\n In a playful way, the Swiss School of Civil Engineering was able to inform potential students about the various further education opportunities and showcase the available programmes.
