The platform Airbnb wants to enable its customers to experience the flats and surroundings via VR technology in the future. In this way, users can get virtual information about the locations and accommodation before they start their journey. The highlight of AR will then help them on site.<\/h3>\n

With the help of 360-degree photos and 3D scans, people are supposed to look at the flats, get to know the host or explore the locality before the holiday even begins. The idea is not new. Thus Hotelplan, <\/a>along with various other tourism institutions and travel agencies in the course of the year, already put a VR solution into operation in its branches at the beginning of the year. Now the world-renowned platform Airbnb also wants to offer customers a preview with VR. In a Blogpost <\/a>explain more.<\/p>\n

But VR is not only used before the trip. When the customer starts his holiday, augmented reality is to be used on site to support him. Everyday things, such as using the heating system and kitchen appliances, can be easily explained with AR.
