Oculus Rooms and Parties are now available for Samsung Gear VR. The special thing about VR is the immersion and the feeling of being in virtual space. Another new component has been added: sharing this immersion with other people and perceiving their presence in VR. Finding your own friends in VR is very easy. The Facebook and Oculus accounts can be linked and the friends list can be searched by real names or Oculus usernames. Once you have added your friends to the Oculus friends list, you can see when they are online, start a voice call with them or jump straight into the VR adventure together.<\/p>\n

Making a voice call with friends in VR <\/strong>
\nOculus Parties allow up to four people to make a voice call at the same time, no matter where they are in virtual reality. To start, simply click \"Party\" in Oculus Home and select the people you want to join the party.<\/p>\n

Meet up with friends in Oculus Rooms<\/strong>
\nOculus Rooms are private, virtual spaces where you can spend time with friends. The focus is on the social activities that can be experienced there. As soon as at least two people have joined a party, they can also enter Oculus Rooms. Various activities can then be selected there: You can watch videos together, play small mini-games or jump directly into multiplayer games like \"Dragon Front\" or \"Drop Dead\" via the app launcher. More apps that support this feature will appear in the following months.<\/p>\n
