Bethesda and id Software have announced the \"Doom 3: VR Edition\", which will be released for PlayStation VR as early as 29 March 2021. A matching trailer shows what you can expect from the new VR conversion.<\/p>\n
The \"Doom 3: VR Edition\" consists of the main game \"Doom 3\" and the two expansions \"Resurrection of Evil\" and \"The Lost Mission\", of course specially adapted for virtual reality. The game is played either on the PlayStation 4 or via backwards compatibility on the new PlayStation 5. The PlayStation target controller is also supported.<\/p>\n
Here's what's on offer, according to the makers: \"Uncover the secrets behind the UAC's nefarious experiments, confront sinister monstrosities in extremely cramped environments, and defend against the spawn of hell with an arsenal of legendary (and even alien) weapons with new textures, shaders and sound effects. The campaign offers you over 15 hours of gripping action.\"<\/p>\n
The VR enhancements allow you to peek around corners or place shots precisely using the motion controls. Furthermore, a 180-degree quick turn function is promised, with which you can eliminate the demons even faster. On the other hand, you can keep an eye on your health, armour and ammunition via a display on your wrist.<\/p>\n
