In addition, significantly more VR titles were played.<\/p>\n<p><span data-tooltip-text=\"store.steampowered.com\">Sales of VR games for the PC increased by up to 32 per cent in 2020. According to Valve<\/span> However, this figure does not take into account the publication of <span data-tooltip-text=\"store.steampowered.com\">\"Half-Life: Alyx\"<\/span>which added another 39 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>More than 1.7 million users on Steam experienced VR games for the first time in 2020, which led to consistently high demand for Valve Index and unfortunately also to bottlenecks. VR users also experienced over 104 million VR sessions last year. Each session was 32 minutes long on average and the total playing time increased by 30 per cent. Revenue from VR software even increased by a whopping 71 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>Valve also said: \"To support all of these users, SteamVR has been continuously improved throughout the year with the release of dozens of software updates. The most notable updates include the brand new <span data-tooltip-text=\"steamcommunity.com\">Dashboard<\/span> and the <span data-tooltip-text=\"steamcommunity.com\">Extended support for OpenXR<\/span>.
