The e-bike innovators want to bring their high-tech e-bikes closer to customers and reduce returns.<\/h3>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>VanMoof is bringing the future of retail technology to the world of bikes: the Dutch e-bike innovators have introduced the bike industry's first augmented reality shopping experience. The new AR tool is integrated into VanMoof's website and online adverts. The tool allows users to place a virtual \"Electrified\" e-bike right in front of them and explore high-tech features without having to visit a VanMoof brand shop or wait for home delivery.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"verbessertes-kauferlebnis\">Improved shopping experience<\/h3>\n<p>The scope of the online pre-purchase test is huge: 76% of consumers said they would buy more products if it was offered.<\/p>\n<p>\"As people become more accustomed to buying goods online, it makes sense to perfect the interactivity of the experience. If you don't live near one of the eight cities with our brand shops, you can use the augmented reality tool to get as close to our bikes as you would in real life. The technology is developing so quickly that we are planning even more features - how about virtual test rides, for example?\" says Taco Carlier, CEO and co-founder of VanMoof.<cite> <\/cite><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"online-barrieren-abbauen\">Breaking down online barriers<\/h2>\n<p>The direct-to-consumer mobility brand has made it a priority to lower the barrier to online shopping for cyclists. VanMoof also hopes that the AR tool will help to reduce returns and shipping costs worldwide in a fun and uncomplicated way.<\/p>\n<p>\"One of the biggest problems with online shopping is returns. These are a huge obstacle to sustainability and an extreme burden on the supply chain. AR allows us to give even more people the opportunity to experience our product before they buy it,\" Taco Carlier continues.<cite><\/cite><\/p>\n<p>The customised augmented reality experience was developed in collaboration with digital partner Boldly.
