FC Bayern Munich is pushing ahead with digitalisation. Having just announced that it is launching its own e-sports team, the German record champions are now introducing a virtual reality application for its fans.<\/h3>\n

How does it feel to stand on the pitch at the Allianz Arena? How does it feel to be the training partner of four-time world goalkeeper Manuel Neuer? How was FC Bayern actually founded? FC Bayern Munich has commissioned the Berlin agency VRIDAY to develop a virtual reality experience so that fans can experience the answers to these questions up close.<\/p>\n

The VR application is designed to bring fans around the world closer to the club.<\/p>\n

Mixed Zone<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Mixed Zone serves as the menu for the FC Bayern VR Experience. From here, you can go directly to the training session on the pitch of the Allianz Arena or to the Experience World. You will also be greeted by FC Bayern stars such as Thomas M\u00fcller and mascot Berni. Further areas are in the pipeline and will be added to the Mixed Zone at regular intervals.<\/p>\n

Training session<\/strong><\/p>\n

Stand on the pitch of one of Germany's largest football stadiums: the Allianz Arena. It has been recreated in great detail and the atmosphere in the stadium has also been specially recorded to give you the same atmosphere as on match day. Anyone who has ever been to the Allianz Arena will be amazed at what it feels like to experience it virtually.<\/p>\n

Here you can also experience a personal header training session with Manuel Neuer.<\/p>\n

World of experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

The virtual world of experience contains the most important milestones in the history of the association. The first and most important: the founding of the club in February 1900. Users can discover the \"Caf\u00e9 Gisela\", where the founding members signed the founding document. As the caf\u00e9 no longer exists, it has been recreated using photographs to bring this key location for FC Bayern back to life.<\/p>\n

The first German championship: users can take a look around the record champions' home ground and relive the special historic moment.<\/p>\n

Avatar creation and sound editing<\/strong><\/p>\n

The FC Bayern players and our mascot Berni were scanned using the 3D Instagraph Pro. They were then animated at OnPoint Studios using state-of-the-art motion capturing technology.<\/p>\n

Sound engineers have recorded the surroundings during matches in the Allianz Arena to recreate an authentic soundscape. This gives our fans a true-to-life stadium experience.<\/p>\n

Further content is to be added in the coming months. For example, Giovane Elber will give a guided tour of the FC Bayern Erlebniswelt and Thomas M\u00fcller will open the door to the changing room.<\/p>\n

The technical prerequisite for the \"FC Bayern VR Experience\" is a powerful gaming PC including Oculus Rift or Oculus Rift S. The\u00a0Download<\/a> is free of charge. If you don't have VR glasses, you can test the software in the official FC Bayern fan shops.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
