Thanks to the innovative glasses, this information is projected directly in front of the user's eyes in front of the relevant sights or in the museum, for example.<\/p>\n<p>In the current tests, VR users can learn more about an artist whose painting they are currently viewing, for example. Or they can be transported back to the Middle Ages and see the famous dragon that is said to have terrorised the city in the past in augmented reality.<\/p>\n<p>\"Augmented reality gives holidaymakers a new, more exciting approach to historical facts and figures and takes into account the increasing desire of guests to explore cities and places on their own,\" explains Chris Carmichael, Head of Innovation at TUI Destination Experiences. \"In our experience so far, the glasses are also comfortable for the user to wear so that they are not distracted from the actual experience.\"<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<h3 id=\"der-tourismus-bietet-viel-potenzial-fuer-immersive-technologie\" class=\"ce_headline\">Tourism offers great potential for immersive technology<\/h3>\n<div class=\"ce_text block\">\n<p>The trial phase will last several weeks and should provide TUI Destination Experiences with insights into how the technology can best be used to offer customers the greatest added value.<\/p>\n<p>\"We are delighted to be one of the first providers to offer this technology to our guests in the future,\" says Peter Ulwahn, Digital Acceleration Director at TUI Destination Experiences. \"We are convinced that augmented reality can significantly enrich excursions and activities and are therefore investing in this new form of experience at an early stage.\"<\/p>\n<p>TUI Destination Experiences is working with the specialist Mixed-Reality I\/O on the trial run in Mallorca.
