On the CES 2019<\/a> The new VR headset HTC Vive Cosmos was announced in Las Vegas. It can be operated with a PC and apparently also with smartphones. It is therefore not a standalone device like Vive Focus or Oculus Quest.<\/p>\n

To simplify use and portability, the Lighthouse tracking system familiar from HTC Vive is no longer present. Instead, integrated tracking cameras are used on the front of the VR goggles. These track the new motion controllers and the movement in space. The controllers each have an analogue stick, two fire buttons, a home button and two triggers. The front of the VR goggles can be flipped up, so you don't have to take off the entire headset to see anything.<\/p>\n

Insgesamt wird eine einfachere Handhabung angepeilt, die den VR-Einstieg erleichtern soll. Auf der CES 2019 wurde eine Entwicklerversion vorgestellt, die im Fr\u00fchjahr 2019 an die Studios ausgeliefert wird. Das finale Produkt soll irgendwann im Jahr 2019 erscheinen. Preis und Termin wurden nicht genannt, was ebenfalls f\u00fcr technische Details gilt, aber es ist vom „bisher sch\u00e4rfsten Bildschirm“ in einem HTC-VR-Headset die Rede.
