The bus company Flixbus now offers its customers VR glasses on various routes in the USA to increase comfort.<\/h3>\n

<\/p>\n

Flixbus <\/a>only launched its service in the United States last May. As in Germany and Europe, the company offers coach journeys between different routes at a low price. This strategy makes Flixbus cheaper than trains, cars and aeroplanes. In return, customers have to compromise on travelling comfort, as the buses offer little space and the journey time is generally longer than with competing means of transport. Flixbus now wants to offer additional comfort with its VR glasses service.<\/p>\n

50 applications on the VR glasses<\/h3>\n

Flixbus is releasing the glasses with 50 applications from the areas of \"Games\", \"Travel\" and \"Film\". Three linked YouTube videos show a basketball game, a chess game and an educational VR journey of discovery on the subject of gravity. Other applications include a flight through space and a walk through the Arctic.<\/p>\n

Glasses available on individual routes and certain seats<\/h3>\n

At the start, only certain customers on routes in the USA will be able to enjoy the VR applications. The entertainment is available on a total of six routes:<\/p>\n

  • University of Arizona - Tucson - Tempe - Phoenix Airport - Kingman N - Arizona\/Nevada - Henderson - Las Vegas Downtown - Las Vegas Strip<\/li>\n
  • Tempe - Phoenix Airport - Kingman N - Arizona\/Nevada - Henderson - Las Vegas Downtown - Las Vegas Strip<\/li>\n
  • University of Arizona - Tucson - Tempe - Phoenix Airport - Flagstaff<\/li>\n
  • LA Downtown - San Bernardino - Barstow Station - Las Vegas Strip - Las Vegas Downtown<\/li>\n
  • San Diego - Escondido - Riverside - San Bernardino - Las Vegas Strip - Las Vegas Downtown<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    There, travellers have the opportunity to book one of the panoramic seats at the front of the bus in advance. The VR headsets are reserved for these seats. Those who book earlier will receive one of the limited headsets.<\/p>\n

    Glasses not yet planned for the German-speaking market<\/h3>\n

    Unfortunately, customers in this country cannot expect this yet: \"The VR glasses are initially a pilot project that is limited to the American market. There are currently no concrete plans for implementation in German-speaking countries.\"<\/p>\n
