Dresden is another exciting place where the combination of historical content and modern technology can be seen.<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"subtitle\">Riotous parties, splendid dresses: until now, you could only really immerse yourself in this world at costume parties. A new exhibition now aims to change that. A journey back in time to the year 1719 is to be realised with a combination of historical content and modern technologies such as augmented reality. \"As a native of Dresden, I am particularly proud to be able to open the second TimeRide in my home town this year,\" says Managing Director and organiser Jonas Rothe. He founded the company TimeRide GmbH in 2016 and opened the first time travel exhibition in Cologne, as we <a href=\"https:\/\/vr-room.ch\/en\/2017\/10\/08\/timeride-vr-eine-historische-vr-tour-durch-koeln\/\">reported<\/a>. On the Rhine, you can travel in a tram through the old Cologne of 1910. This year, Rothe was awarded second prize in the German Tourism Prize for the concept.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"drei-ausstellungsraeume-fuer-zeitreisende\" class=\"subtitle\">Three exhibition rooms for time travellers<\/h3>\n<div class=\"paragraph\">\n<p class=\"text\">In Dresden an der Elbe, the Baroque world is brought to life in three exhibition rooms. In the Hall of Mirrors, guests can slip into the role of various Baroque figures with the help of augmented reality, while short film clips in the Lichtspielhof provide information about life in the Baroque era. The highlight will be the third station, where seven historically modelled carriages will be waiting. Using virtual reality glasses, visitors can experience a carriage ride from the Wilsdruffer Vorstadt to the Zwinger.
