In the Ostfildern Municipal Gallery (near Stuttgart), the artist Beate Susanne Wehr is showing her exhibition \"Target\" as part of a region-wide cultural project \"Drehmomente\", a show on several levels that combines real and virtual spaces in an artistic and playful way and thus raises questions about current and future robotics.<\/h3>\n

The relationship between humans and robots is one of the central themes in Beate Susanne Wehr's art. It is therefore no coincidence that the robot \"Telemax\" from the Ostfildern-based company Telerob is the protagonist of the exhibition. It is usually deployed whenever dangerous explosive devices need to be defused. This will hopefully not be necessary in the Galerie im Stadthaus, and so humans and robots can devote themselves entirely to the question of how individuals and machines will collaborate in the future. Will it be possible for both to contribute their specific skills and characteristics? What is the goal of technological progress? What will the relationship between humans and robots be like in the future?<\/p>\n

Tours of the Telerob company<\/h2>\n

The title of her project \"Target<\/a>\u201c, welches im Rahmen eines regionsweiten Kulturprojekts \u201eDrehmomente“ gezeigt wird, liess sich Wehr durch ein Objekt inspirieren, das sie bei Rundg\u00e4ngen durch die Firma Telerob entdeckt und in die Ausstellung exportiert hat: eine Bodenarbeit, die einer grossen Zielscheibe gleicht und dem Projekt seinen Namen gibt: \u201eTarget\u201c.<\/p>\n

The 3D programming by students at Stuttgart Media University represents another level. During this summer semester, they worked together with the artist on the topic of robotics under the supervision of their professor Kre\u0161imir Vida\u010dkovi\u0107 - responsible for multimedia engineering and design. Visitors can experience her modulations via mixed reality glasses.<\/p>\n

With the \"Drehmoment\" project, the Stuttgart cultural region is giving art access to industrial resources. The 35 participating artists worked in various industrial and craft businesses. With the help of unusual possibilities, 27 extraordinary works of art were created in 21 communities, which will now be exhibited from 4 to 28 October as part of the region-wide production art festival.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
