Virtual Virtual Reality is not a typo, but a c\u00f6mediant game. In Virtual Virtual Reality, players put on various VR headsets to escape their superior and dive deeper into nested virtual realities. Quasi the VR within the VR. Sounds crazy; it probably is!<\/div>\n

The VR title first appeared last year for Google Daydream and was later released for Oculus Go. Only recently, the immersive adventure was also released for the PC for Oculus Rift. Now it seems that access will be extended to HTC Vive owners, as a Steam page has been quietly opened announcing a September 2018 release.<\/div>\n

So in Virtual Virtual Reality is set in a futuristic future where the company Activitude acts as an employment agency for people. The clientele consists of AI systems, because most jobs have been replaced by machines. To keep them from getting bored, they need entertainment. And this is where the gamers come in, because the authentic entertainment of humanity is one of the few open fields of work for them. So you jump from one virtual reality to the next to pass the time of the machine systems - plenty of absurd humour included.<\/p>\n

A declaration of love for VR<\/h3>\n

In total, there are over 50 virtual worlds in VR and the makers promise more than 3 hours of gameplay. The complete V-VR Game was created over six months by a core team of 4 full-time directors \/ artists \/ developers in collaboration with 4 part-time developers. \"We wanted to prove that it is possible to create long-lasting storytelling and gameplay in VR with a small team\" says the team in their press release. \"We've seen the medium of VR evolve from the 90s to today. Virtual Virtual Reality is both a commentary and a love letter to the medium of VR and its hypes.\"<\/p>\n
