Das neue PSVR tr\u00e4gt die Versionsnummer &#8222;CUH-ZVR2&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>The slightly customised design offers the advantage that the supplied in-ear stereo headphones are attached directly to the VR headset (see image). This at least reduces cable clutter. The volume control is also located on the underside of the VR headset, which is also a new feature.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the connection cable to the processor unit is slimmer. The processor unit has also been improved and now enables HDR passthrough, which means that the HDMI cable no longer needs to be reconnected when content with <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/High_Dynamic_Range_Image\">HDR support<\/a> can be used. However, this only works if PSVR remains switched off.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the modified connection cable, it is unfortunately not possible to use the new processor box with an old PSVR headset. Otherwise, it should be noted that all games and apps will of course remain compatible with the new version of PlayStation VR. The slightly improved model will be released in Japan on 14 October 2017.
