Anyone who enjoys working, tinkering or even renovating an entire flat or house themselves will soon have a cool tool in the form of VR or AR. Lowe's Innovation Labs<\/a> shows the way.<\/p>\n

It was a few years ago that Lowe's Innovation Labs developed the vision of offering customers a tool that would allow them to visualise their planned renovation work in advance, i.e. before the first nail is hammered in or the first brushstroke is made. The vision has already come true with the first Holoroom Proof Of Concept, which utilises AR.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the partnership with Google and Lenovo, they were able to develop an application that provides 3D content in AR and VR for end consumers. The Tango technology developed by Google makes the application very easy for anyone to use. The Lowe Vision app enables customers to measure their rooms and then design them directly with new products, even before anything is purchased.<\/p>\n

With further developments, they have also made the customer experience even more comprehensive.<\/p>\n

In-store navigation app<\/h3>\n

Firstly, they have developed an in-store navigation app that helps customers to find their products more quickly. The pilot project is currently running in the USA.<\/p>\n
