This year, a cross-generational and cross-national art collective presented extraordinary art installations for more climate awareness on the burning theme.<\/h3>\n<p>On Earth Day 2023, art-makers used current research findings from the publication <a class=\"uri-ext outbound\" href=\"https:\/\/www.frontiersin.org\/articles\/10.3389\/frvir.2023.897034\/full\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Increasing awareness of climate change with immersive virtual reality<\/a> on the impact of immersive technologies on the perception of the climate crisis. The aim was to raise awareness among people who can hardly be reached with scientific data and analyses. A digital twin of our planet was shown with heavily reddened land surfaces, which makes one associate unbearable heat, drying processes, water scarcity and sandy deserts - and all this in augmented reality.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"zwei-augmented-reality-installationen-laden-zum-spielen-ein\">Two augmented reality installations invite you to play<\/h3>\n<p>The installation in augmented reality can be called up on a mobile phone, moved, resized, used as a play object, placed in any real environment, photographed in it or captured in videos. Building on this, a second installation illustrates the possible destruction of our living conditions as a metaphor in an unreal but impressive way. Its title: \" <a class=\"uri-ext outbound\" href=\"http:\/\/knolmayer.art\/nyc-earth-day\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A Tribute to Earth Day<\/a>\".<\/p>\n<p>The interaction with virtual objects can influence the user's world of thoughts as an immersive approach.<\/p>\n<p>The artists tread innovative artistic paths: <a class=\"uri-ext outbound\" href=\"http:\/\/knolmayer.art\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gerhard Knolmayer<\/a> often deals with socio-economic issues in his pictorial works, especially the effects of the climate crisis. <a class=\"uri-ext outbound\" href=\"http:\/\/sarahmontani.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sarah Montani<\/a> is an internationally renowned artist who adds new facets to the classical concept of art with her sferistic art. APTIQ and Jamie F.G use their skills to shape the metaverse in both artistic collectives and business environments.<\/p>\n<p>Gerhard Knolmayer pointedly formulates: \"We are welcome to PLAY with our virtual planet.
