After just one season, LEGOLAND Deutschland says goodbye to the virtual reality experience \"The Great LEGO Race<\/a>\" on its Wild Mouse rollercoaster. In contrast, there seems to have been an increase at Europa-Park Rust!<\/h3>\n

Last year, LEGOLAND Deutschland presented the virtual reality experience on the Wild Mouse rollercoaster \"Project X\" as one of four new features, making it \"The Great LEGO Race\". In 2019, the attraction will no longer offer a virtual reality ride due to technical difficulties.<\/p>\n

LEGOLAND Deutschland has announced that it will not be continuing the virtual reality experience. In the course of the season it would have\u00a0\"<\/em>There were \"one or two technical failures and the associated longer waiting times\" - a situation that was not satisfactory for the theme park. \"And so, after several failed attempts to rectify the situation, we decided with a heavy heart to remove the VR experience from this ride,\" says LEGOLAND Deutschland. The virtual reality ride was realised by the German company VR Coaster GmbH & Co. KG, which has already supplied the technology to over 40 theme parks worldwide. Erlebnispark Schloss Thurn has already ordered the second virtual reality film for its roller coaster for 2019.<\/p>\n

\"The Great LEGO Race\" at LEGOLAND Deutschland used virtual reality goggles to immerse visitors in a virtual environment in which the movement was synchronised with that of the actual rollercoaster ride. The entrance area of the rollercoaster, formerly known as \"Project X\", was also redesigned for the virtual reality attraction.<\/p>\n

However, visitors will not have to do without the rollercoaster ride in future - only the virtual reality add-on will be removed.<\/p>\n

The good news: Europa-Park Rust - which is almost easier to reach from Switzerland anyway - continues to offer VR experiences on the rollercoaster: \"ALPENEXPRESS COASTIALITY<\/a>\". And it seems that there has been an increase in the selection of experiences. Here is the overview:<\/p>\n
